Job Description:
Reporting to the Regional Manager Food Services, the Manager, Food Services Operations will oversee all aspects of planning, organizing, and directing staff and activities within the Food Service Department across designated Island Health sites. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with departmental policies, professional standards, and legal requirements. The role also involves implementing quality assurance programs, managing food service policy and procedures, and integrating administrative and operational aspects effectively.
Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Administration or completion of an approved post-secondary course as a Food Service Supervisor/Manager.
– Experience: Five (5) years of recent related experience in service management in healthcare facilities, including operational experience with quality assurance programs.
– Additional qualifications such as completion of relevant healthcare administration courses and graduation from a recognized culinary training course are assets.
– Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), commitment to client-focused services, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
– Other Requirements: Valid BC Driver’s License and physical ability to perform duties of the role.
