Job Summary
As the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Delta Hotels Thunder Bay, you will oversee and ensure the smooth operation of food and beverage services. This role focuses on guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining high standards, and achieving financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Create a motivating environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional service.
– Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees, responding promptly to concerns and maintaining a positive atmosphere.
– Coach and empower staff to address guest and employee issues effectively.
– Demonstrate confidence, energy, and enthusiasm in daily operations, setting a positive example for the team.
– Set and uphold service expectations to deliver a memorable experience for all guests.
– Take ownership of guest complaints and ensure resolutions meet or exceed expectations.
– Support the General Manager with annual quality audits and comply with corporate accounting procedures.
Candidate Profile:
– High school diploma or GED required; a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage operations, culinary management, or related areas.
– Strong customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
– Familiarity with Marriott’s service culture and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
– Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet operational goals.
– Understanding of corporate accounting procedures and quality audit processes.
