Job Description/Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SOUS CHEF to work in our busy kitchen. Hours are full-time and will include key shifts on Friday, Saturday. and Sunday.
NOTE: This is a HANDS -ON role and we are looking for a genuine all-rounder.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve a consistently high quality product as instructed
- Maintenance of equipment and utensils
- Ensure that the kitchen is always in a clean and hygienic state
- Good knowledge of food items and basic cooking techniques with exposure to sauces, larder, vegetable and butchery
Qualifications needed
- Knowledge of the kitchen sections and associated service styles
- Relevant trades qualification or equivalent work experience
- A thorough understanding of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
- MUST speak Fluent English
Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar restaurant or role
- Experience cooking Mexican or Tex Mex Cuisine would be an advantage
- Experience in serving over 100 covers on busy nights
- Work in all areas of the kitchen operation
