Tailor / Machinist / Customer Service
Location: Wellington Central, Wellington

Join Looksmart Alterations, the largest clothing alterations franchise in Australia and New Zealand with over 100 stores located in major shopping centres. We are experts in clothing alterations and repairs and are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to become a key member of our Wellington Central team. Key Responsibilities:
– Tailoring & Alterations: Perform a range of alterations and repairs on clothing items including hemming, resizing, and adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for customers.
– Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, assisting clients with their alteration needs and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
– Machinist Duties: Operate commercial sewing machines and use various tailoring tools to deliver high-quality alterations and repairs.
– Computer Skills: Handle basic computer tasks related to order processing and customer service.
– Maintain Work Area: Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring all equipment is maintained and ready for use.
What We’re Looking For:
– Experience: Proven experience in commercial sewing and tailoring alterations is essential.
– Customer Service Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with customers.
– Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills for handling customer orders and managing schedules.
– Attitude: A “CAN DO” attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
– Motivation: A highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering quality service and alterations.
