Sewing Machinist
Location: Wellington Central, Wellington

At the forefront of Wellington’s tailoring industry, Mall Tailoring is seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our dynamic team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional garment construction and customer satisfaction. This role will involve working at various city center locations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Construct and remodel suits and other garments with precision.
– Handle bridal tailoring and made-to-measure tailoring projects.
– Operate industrial sewing machines, including straight sewer, overlocker, coverstitch, blind hemmer, and buttonhole machine.
– Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
– Ensure immaculate quality and attention to detail in all work.
– Collaborate with the team to support each other and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications Needed:
– Extensive knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and fabrics.
– Passion for sewing, fabrics, and textiles.
– Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help out where needed.
Experience:
– At least five years of experience in professional tailoring, reconstruction, and complete remodeling of suits.
– Experience in bridal tailoring is advantageous.
– Proficiency with industrial sewing machines.
Skills:
– Excellent time management skills.
– High attention to detail and quality.
