Wilson & Nicholson, a leading furniture manufacturer specializing in high-quality sofas and chairs, is seeking an experienced Sewer to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
– Industrial Sewing: Operate industrial sewing machines to create new sofas and chairs as well as reupholster existing furniture.
– Fabric and Leather Work: Work with a variety of fabrics and leathers, demonstrating careful workmanship and attention to detail.
– Design Specifications: Read and interpret design specifications to ensure products meet quality and design standards.
– Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of sewing quality, ensuring that all products are finished to the highest standards.
What We’re Looking For:
– Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the furniture industry, with a strong background in sewing fabrics and leathers.
– Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in sewing and finishing products.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and understanding design specifications.
– Work Ethic: Reliable, motivated, and capable of working efficiently within a small team environment.
– Availability: Must be available for a full-time role with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.
What We Offer:
– Competitive Pay: $29 – $32 per hour.
