Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team as a Chef de Partie / Senior Chef de Partie. At Trinity Wharf, every employee contributes to a seamless and memorable guest experience. We are a highly collaborative team passionate about hospitality and proud of our unique waterfront location.
Key Responsibilities:
Function Operations:
– Prepare food according to daily task lists and function sheets
– Execute food preparation and service for banquets, buffets, and plated menus for up to 350 guests
Restaurant Operations:
– Prepare and cook meals under the guidance of the Head Chef or Sous Chef
– Adhere to the NZ Food Safety manual and complete food safety checklists
– Participate in building and planning new menus
– Complete opening and closing kitchen checklists
– Maintain high levels of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
Key Requirements:
– New Zealand Diploma in Cookery (Level 5)
– Diverse skill set and experience across a wide range of restaurant types; function experience is advantageous
– High energy, flexibility in food preparation and presentation
– Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organized
– Passion for food and presentation
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to work competently under pressure
– Reliable and flexible to change
Work Hours:
– Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
– 7-day rotating roster
