Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the POCT Manager with all POCT tasks.
Keeping POCT Users training records up to date including the use of Excel.
Monitor POCT stock levels.
Perform all procedures required to monitor quality of instrumentation including internal quality control and external quality assessment.
Respond to and troubleshoot errors and record / investigate as required.
Updating the POCT documentation via Qpulse.
Entering Patient results onto the HIS via Lab Centre.
Regular participation in audit procedures.
Some travelling to community locations across Harrogate locality (valid driving license and access to a car are essential).
Requirements:
Level 3 diploma in one of the following areas: Healthcare science, Administration / academic study or Information Technology or able to demonstrate equivalent level or relevant experience
Good standard of general education to GCSE level (GCSE grade C / 4 or above in English, Maths) or equivalent
Experience of working in a healthcare / laboratory setting
Experience of audit
Competent user of computer software packages including Microsoft Word and Excel
Full UK driving license and ability to work at off site locations as required.
