Full Job Description:
VDM Trucking Services Ltd. is actively hiring Class 1 Drivers to be based out of our Edmonton, Alberta office. We offer competitive pay and great benefits starting after three months. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Important Note: Applicants must have a negative Drug and Alcohol test upon hire. VDM is not part of the foreign worker program. Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada and present for a road evaluation to be considered.
Available Positions:
Class 1 Oilfield Drivers: Off-road and flat deck experience required. CSO, H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid certifications are mandatory.
Class 1 Winch Truck Drivers: Off-road experience required. CSO, H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid certifications are mandatory.
Class 1 Canada/USA/Short & Long-Haul Drivers: Must have a valid passport and be able to pass a criminal record check for USA positions. Continuous flat deck experience is required.
Requirements:
– Comfortable with being in the truck for up to 2 weeks if needed.
– Heavy Haul experience is an asset.
– Ability to operate 18-speed trucks (manual transmissions).
– Minimum of 2 years of flat deck experience.
– Must be clean-shaven due to servicing oilfield sites and have relevant tickets.
– Rig moving experience is an asset.
– Available to work at least one weekend day.
– Must pass Drug and Alcohol testing.
