Position: Procure to Pay Specialist – EMEA

The Position

Role Overview: 

As a Procure to Pay Specialist, you will be part of a team of approximately 40 professionals delivering and managing end-to-end Source to Settle (StS) processes. You will work closely with our global BPO partner, who executes StS transactional services for Organon across various global regions, handling processes such as Purchase Order Management, Invoice Processing, Settlements, and Employee Expense Management. Experience in as many of these StS processes as possible is valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

StS Process Delivery:

  • – Deliver services in accordance with agreed Service Level, Controls, and Governance.
  • – Manage process risk by adhering to policies and internal controls, complying with StS guidelines, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of process and SOX controls.
  • – Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and related internal control documentation.
  • – Focus on process improvement, supporting the implementation of best practices and project management discipline.
  • – Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • – Support training, accuracy, and timely delivery of work outputs.
  • – Engage with process owners and other GSS Center colleagues to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • – Maintain professional and detailed process documentation such as global SOPs and Regional Work Instructions in coordination with the StS Global Process Owner.
Support Internal Stakeholders:

– Provide ‘world-class service’ experience for vendors, fellow employees, and stakeholders.

– Manage relationships through collaboration, negotiation, and influence.

Education & Experience:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

– Up to 3 years’ experience in StS processes.

– Fluency in English and another European language (Portuguese preferred).

– Experience working on regional or global teams (Experience with launching or standing up a Shared Service Center is valued).

– Experience with internal or external audits is valued.

– Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in large teams.

– Strong math, query, analytical, and systems skills, with demonstrated experience in data management and MS Office.

– Demonstrated ability to maintain financial controls.

– Experience with continuous process improvement projects leading to significant time or bottom-line savings.

– Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

– Familiarity with US GAAP is preferred.

– Solid financial background with experience in accounting processes is valued.

– Experience using SAP R/3 is required (Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is valued).

– Experience working in shared service or regional roles and participation in global initiatives is preferred.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

– Knowledge of E2E processes is a plus.
