Job Description/Overview:

We are seeking motivated individuals to join the in-house housekeeping team at Horton General Hospital. Housekeepers play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness throughout the hospital and supporting the delivery of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure high standards of cleanliness in line with National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.
Work collaboratively with the nursing team to deliver food and beverages to patients.
Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Work independently and as part of a team to achieve set targets.
Qualifications:
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable:
Basic food hygiene qualification.
NVQ or equivalent in cleaning and support services.
Experience:
Previous experience in a housekeeping or domestic role.
Experience within a healthcare environment is preferred.
Skills:
Ability to identify workplace hazards and take appropriate action.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks effectively.
Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude.
