Job Description/Overview:
The JBS Mungindi Feedlot, located on the QLD-NSW border, is seeking a General Feed Hand to join its team. This role plays an essential part in feed operations, ensuring timely feeding and care of cattle at the feedlot, which is licensed for 22,400 head. The facility feeds various cattle breeds and operates on a 10-days-on, 4-days-off roster.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle pre-operational checks
Batch and deliver rations to livestock
Process and receive hay
Ensure compliance with company policies and work safely
Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Leading Hand
Criteria:
Experience operating trucks, front-end loaders, and other machinery (preferred)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Some mechanical aptitude
Proven experience in a similar environment
Basic computer skills
Strong work ethic and willingness to collaborate
Sound knowledge of safe work practices
