Job Description/Overview:
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) team. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £28,000 – £32,000, depending on experience. The Healthcare Assistant will work in a high-acuity environment and be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing essential care for patients while ensuring professional nursing practices align with Cleveland Clinic London’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with hygiene, nutritional needs, and basic tests (e.g., urinalysis, blood glucose).
Monitor patients and notify nursing caregivers of any changes in condition.
Use the EPIC computer system to access and update patient records.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure ward KPIs align with Cleveland Clinic London standards.
Work in a shift pattern (long days, nights, and weekends) across a 7-day roster.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 or higher, Care Certificate.
Demonstrated experience in the acute care field.
Critical thinking skills and ability to work autonomously in a stressful environment.
Experience:
Previous work in acute care is preferred.
Track record of meeting objectives and providing high-quality patient care.
Skills:
Ability to recognize limitations and seek assistance when necessary.
Competence in using computer systems for patient record management.

Additional Information:
Full-time, permanent contract.
