We’re looking for voice actors to help shape the future of compassionate AI communication.
Job Description
As a Freelance Voice Actor with Outlier, you will:
- Record your voice in various short conversational segments, expressing a range of emotions, accents, and vocal styles.
- Review voice recordings from other users to contribute further insights to our AI models.
This is a flexible, remote freelance role. You’ll be able to set your own schedule and work from anywhere that meets the sound quality requirements.
Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be fluent in English (native fluency required).
- Have prior experience in voice-related work (such as voice acting, podcasting, audio narration, or similar fields).
- Own and be able to use a high-quality microphone to deliver clear, crisp audio with no reverb or static.
- Have access to a quiet, controlled recording environment free from background noise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in on-screen or stage acting, stand-up comedy, improv, vocal music, therapy, teaching, or life coaching.
- Ability to express a wide range of emotions through voice and demonstrate various accents or impressions.
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $40 – $60 per hour, based on project requirements and skill level.
Additional Details
If selected, candidates will receive an email invitation to complete a screening process, which includes an assessment of English fluency and voice-acting skills.
Eligibility Restrictions: Unfortunately, applicants residing in Illinois, Texas, California, New York, Washington, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Oregon are currently not eligible for this role.
Note: This role is a freelance contract opportunity under a 1099 designation. It does not include sponsorship, internships, or employment benefits. Applicants should be authorized to work in their country of residence.
