Job Description/Overview
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and managing all day-to-day sales activities. The focus is on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives. This role provides support for sales activities for larger and more complex accounts, monitors the team’s booking goals, and creates opportunities to grow the account base through customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the sales function with a focus on driving revenue and exceeding booking goals.
Work with the sales team to develop and implement sales plans for the property.
Provide leadership and support for the sales team and monitor team performance.
Participate in sales calls and meetings to acquire new business or close on existing opportunities.
Analyze market information and implement strategies to meet financial goals.
Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Oversee and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
OR
4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional areas.
Experience
Proven track record in sales leadership, particularly within the hospitality industry.
Experience in managing large accounts and executing sales strategies.
Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in analyzing market trends and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Experience in managing revenue and achieving financial goals.
