Job Description/Overview
Conrad Consulting is partnering with a well-established sub-contractor in Edinburgh, seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company is known for its industry knowledge and successful project delivery in the building envelope and façade sector, working with some of the largest main contractors. You will take ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring commercial success, and will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities
Prepare contracts, including materials quantity details.
Conduct ongoing cost analysis and feasibility studies.
Prepare monthly valuation reports for senior management.
Analyze completed work and arrange contractor payments.
Allocate upcoming work to contractors and conduct site visits.
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
Identify, analyze, and respond to commercial risks.
Collate and deliver final accounts.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Qualifications
Degree educated in quantity surveying.
Strong experience within the construction industry, particularly from a sub-contractor background.
Proficient in handling projects from inception to final accounts.
Good understanding of various contract types.
Experience
Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally in building envelope and façade projects.
Skills
Excellent project management and cost analysis skills.
Ability to assess risk and develop mitigation strategies.

Additional Information
Salary/Rate: £50,000 – £57,000 per annum
