About the Role:
As an Associate – Finance, you will be responsible for accurately recording and managing financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, ensuring reconciliation of financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, generating essential financial reports, and supporting tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Financial Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and other financial activities.
- General Ledger Management: Manage the general ledger, ensuring it is organized and consistently updated.
- Financial Reconciliation: Conduct rigorous reconciliation of financial records with bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing a clear overview of the company’s financial performance.
- Tax Compliance Support: Collaborate with accountants to ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain necessary financial records.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software: Utilize accounting software and tools efficiently for data entry and management, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial records.
Note: This is not a remote role; candidates must be available in the office.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce/Finance.
- 4-6 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a fintech organization.
- Expertise in handling Xero is a plus.
- Ability to break down complex problems and identify solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of data, software engineering, and business processes.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
