Job Description/Overview
Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc. is looking for skilled and experienced Plumbers specializing in maintenance and repair. This role involves working across various commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential settings. The position is categorized as a green job, contributing to positive environmental outcomes and supporting Canada’s net-zero target.
Key Responsibilities
– Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
– Prepare tenders and quotations for projects.
– Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
– Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and fixtures in walls and floors.
– Install, join, and repair pipes using a variety of methods including soldering, brazing, and welding.
– Test plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
– Estimate costs and materials needed for projects.
– Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
– Use maps and other planning aids for project execution.
Qualifications
– Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
– Certification in Backflow Prevention, Plumber Trade, WHMIS, First Aid, and more.
– Valid Driver’s License (Class 3 or D).
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in plumbing maintenance and repair.
Skills
– Ability to work in confined spaces and wet/damp environments.
– Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
– Physically demanding tasks including bending, crouching, and handling heavy loads.
– Excellent oral and written communication skills.
– Team player with efficient interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
Salary $65,000 to $85,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 40 to 44 hours per week.
