Job Overview:
Yasmina British Academy, an outstanding British Curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to commence in August 2024. As part of the highly successful Aldar family of schools, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academy’s excellence in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver inspiring lessons to help students achieve their best.
– Foster positive relationships within the school community.
– Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons.
– Organise classroom resources and displays to create an engaging environment.
– Meet curriculum requirements, assess, and adjust teaching strategies based on student progress.
– Provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
– Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.
– Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or other teaching qualification.
– Minimum of 1-2 years teaching experience, preferably with the British Curriculum.
– Experience working with students for whom English is not a first language.
– Commitment to holistic education, including extra-curricular involvement.
Experience:
– Proven ability to teach the British Curriculum.
– Previous experience teaching non-native English speakers is preferred.
– Involvement in extracurricular activities.
Skills:
– Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
– Positive attitude towards diverse school communities.
– Commitment to professional development and contributing to the wider life of the school.
