Job Description/Overview:
Groove, a top-rated help desk software company, is seeking a Content Writer to join their team. Reporting directly to the VP of Content, you will be responsible for creating search-engine optimized blog posts designed to convert visitors into trial signups and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Research and write 2-3 weekly blog posts that are engaging, actionable, and focused on conversions.
– Capture and edit any necessary screenshots for each blog post.
– Ensure content is well-optimized for search engine rankings.
– Research competitors and accurately compare Groove’s features and benefits with those of competitors.
– Continuously monitor search engine rankings, updating and optimizing existing content as needed.
Qualifications needed:
– Content Writing Experience: At least 2 years of professional writing experience, either in-house or freelance.
– Conversion-Focused: Ability to create persuasive content that drives conversions, not just traffic, and evaluate its effectiveness.
– Basic Image Editing Skills: Competency in capturing screenshots and resizing or cropping images.
– SEO Knowledge: Proficiency in keyword research and the effective use of keywords in content without keyword stuffing. Ability to optimize content that isn’t ranking for target keywords.
– Time Management: Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects, prioritize work, and meet all deadlines.
– BONUS: A background in customer service.
– Previous Experience: Experience in freelance or remote work is preferred.
