We’re looking for friendly and energetic individuals to join our kitchen team full-time in the heart of Braddon, Canberra. If you love the buzz of hospitality and thrive in a warm environment, we want you!
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, menus, and customer preferences, ensuring high-quality and consistent results.
Menu Planning: Assist in planning menus, selecting ingredients, and creating new recipes that align with the restaurant or establishment’s theme and budget.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet the establishment’s standards and customer expectations.
Kitchen Organization: Maintain an organized and efficient kitchen by managing workstations, coordinating with other kitchen staff, and ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for use.
Time Management: Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner, coordinating the timing of dishes with the rest of the kitchen team.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food stock to minimize waste and control costs.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
Training and Supervising: Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures.
Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback, address complaints, or customize dishes to meet specific dietary needs.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, ensuring all items are in good working condition and the kitchen is clean and safe.
