Job Description/Overview:
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT projects for our clients, from initial requirements gathering to project closure. He will work closely with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. There will be significant travelling and working away a lot within the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules
- Identify and manage project risks
- Manage project budgets and resources
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Track project progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Mentor and develop project team members
Qualifications needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and/or relevant field
- Certifications in PMP or ITIL are a plus
Experience:
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana) is a plus
- Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion
- 5+ years in an IT systems and network administration role
Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Extensive knowledge of the installation and configuration of computer network components – routers, switches, firewalls, access points, cabling, Aruba networking, Clearpass, Cisco meraki, Ubiquiti
- Extensive knowledge of computer network design, security, virtualization, and automation
- Experience in deploying and managing servers, SANs, volumes, and shares
- Extensive knowledge of VPN, and remote support tools and technologies
- Experience with PBX and CCTV systems
- Knowledge of IT security best practices, solutions, and technologies
- Expert in monitoring and troubleshooting IT systems and network infrastructure issues
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and processes
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to work autonomously
- Customer-focused attitude and commitment to providing excellent service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
