Overview
Fibrotek Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, project management, and a strong background in the design, installation, and management of mechanical systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for innovation and leadership in the field of engineering.
Key Details
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Workplace: 100% Remote (No office space provided)
- Education Required: College/CEGEP in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience Required: 2 to 3 years in mechanical engineering or project management
- Languages Required: French (English is an asset)
Responsibilities
- Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical systems.
- Design power plants, machines, and equipment.
- Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures.
- Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems.
- Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs.
- Investigate mechanical failures and resolve unexpected maintenance problems.
- Plan and manage projects, preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
- Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance.
- Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers, reviewing and approving designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Assess business opportunities and develop strategies.
- Develop and implement risk management plans.
- Lead and instruct teams, commission systems and components.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Membership in l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Experience and Specialization:
- Proficiency in Mastercam CAD/CAM, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Excel, MS Windows
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to lead and work in teams
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
