Position Overview
As an Interviewer, you will play a pivotal role within our Talent team. This position is integral to understanding our candidates at a deeper level, focusing on their career accomplishments, motivations, and aspirations.
This part-time, hourly role offers flexibility and has the potential to grow into a full-time position. You can work from anywhere with a fast internet connection and a professional setup for video calls.
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct in-depth interviews with candidates who have passed their first-round interviews, taking meticulous notes, and preparing detailed reports to guide the hiring team’s decisions. Your role is not to evaluate the candidates but to extract and document valuable information about their professional experiences in a conversational and welcoming manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview Preparation:
- Review role descriptions and search materials to understand the key elements of each position.
- Familiarize yourself with the candidates’ resumes and LinkedIn profiles.
- Interview Execution:
- Conduct ~60-minute interviews using a semi-structured approach that includes consistent questions and custom queries tailored to each candidate.
- Create a positive and comfortable candidate experience.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Take detailed notes during the interviews.
- Polish and finalize interview notes, combining them with the candidate’s resume into a comprehensive Candidate Packet.
- Submit completed packets to the Talent team.
- Collaboration:
- Align with the Talent team to ensure a shared understanding of the role and expectations.
Requirements
- Curiosity and interest in people’s stories and professional journeys.
- Strong understanding of modern professional landscapes in technology, finance, and business.
- Attention to detail and the ability to take precise notes while conducting interviews.
- Professional, personable, and pleasant demeanor.
- Reliable access to strong phone signal, fast Wi-Fi, and a professional video call setup.
- Bonus: Background or passion for journalism or journalistic pursuits.
Schedule & Commitment
- Part-Time Role:
- Starting with 5-10 hours per week, with potential for growth.
- Flexible work hours, as long as deliverables are submitted on time.
Compensation
- Hourly pay range: $25 – $50 (commensurate with experience and seniority).
