About the Role
A not-for-profit organization based in central Birmingham is seeking a skilled Digital Content Writer for a 6-month contract. With a digital transformation and legacy upgrade program underway, this role will be pivotal in delivering fully optimized, cross-platform content (web, mobile, email, social) that enhances usability and accessibility across the digital estate.
This opportunity is ideal for a results-driven writer experienced in creating content within regulated, structured environments and adhering to strict brand guidelines. The role requires a balance of technical content writing expertise and proficiency with web content management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, fully optimized content for web, mobile, email, and social media platforms.
- Ensure content meets usability and accessibility standards across the digital estate.
- Utilize enterprise-level web content management systems to publish and manage content.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver engaging, compliant content in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Adhere to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience with enterprise-level web content management systems.
- Proven ability to create cross-platform content within regulated sectors.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-led environment.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Solid understanding of semantic web and web accessibility standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and teamwork skills.
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months (initially).
- Rate: £200 – £300 per day (depending on experience).
- Work Location: Hybrid – one to two days a week on-site in Birmingham city centre, with the option to work from home on other days.
