Position Overview:
We are seeking a Dental Referral and Authorization Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis (up to 9 months). This position is fully remote, and candidates must reside in one of the eligible states: Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Montana, or Wisconsin. In this role, you will support the dental access team with dental referrals and pre-authorizations, ensuring members have access to the appropriate specialty dental services. You will assist with various administrative tasks related to managing and processing referrals and authorizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support the dental team access email inbox.
- Review, process, approve, and match members with appropriate specialty dental services.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is received from dental providers to assess and complete referral and authorization requests.
- Enter referral and prior authorization requests into the system and follow up on final requests.
- Assist with weekly member assignments to PDP clinics and organize care coordination member lists for dental providers.
- Run weekly referral reports and update referrals as needed.
- Propose and implement process improvements within the department.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within the established deadlines.
- Provide general support and cross-training for team members.
- Maintain a professional, cooperative, and team-oriented approach in all duties.
