Job Description/Overview:
Oscar Wylee is a leading optometry company with over 140 stores across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, employing over 1,000 people worldwide. We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our St Ives store, ensuring compliance with company policies and delivering exceptional customer service. The Store Manager will work closely with Optometrists and the store team to provide a superior customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily store operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with Optometrists to deliver outstanding customer service.
Coach and develop the store team on effective selling and customer service techniques.
Manage store budgets, schedules, and staffing according to local labor laws.
Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
Provide constructive feedback and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.
Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management position (Assistant Store Manager or higher).
Ability to manage budgets and staff scheduling in compliance with labor laws.
Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to engage and motivate a team.
Excellent customer service skills and a passion for optical care.
Experience:
Retail management experience, particularly in customer-facing roles.
Experience working with budgets and schedules is preferred.
Experience in the optical industry is beneficial but not required.
Skills:
Leadership and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
