Position Summary

As a Reservations Agent at Capella Sydney, you will be responsible for providing a warm, professional pre-arrival experience for guests. This role involves managing reservation requests, changes, and cancellations, while collaborating with the Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and achieve revenue goals. Your ability to effectively manage incoming reservations and communicate with travel partners will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional first impression of the hotel by delivering a professional and welcoming pre-arrival experience.
  • Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, email, and online channels.
  • Serve as a liaison between travel partners and the hotel to manage availability, pricing, and room reservations.
  • Promote local culture, heritage sites, and events, offering guests recommendations and directions.
  • Monitor incoming reservations, review details, and follow up with clients to ensure clarity and a smooth check-in process.
  • Maintain positive relationships with guests and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and cooperation across teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Background in hospitality, customer service, sales, or a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage customer interactions over the phone.
  • Qualifications: Hospitality or Sales/Marketing qualifications preferred.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Property Management, Customer Relations Management, and Distribution systems.
  • Flexibility: Availability for morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Work Rights: Must have valid working rights in Australia.
  • Availability: Open to both full-time and part-time contracts.
