Job Description/Overview:
Community Horizons is seeking a compassionate caregiver to work with a non-verbal adult autistic male in a private home setting. This part-time role involves providing care during short shifts on weekends, offering respite for the mother/guardian. The ideal candidate will assist with daily tasks, fostering a supportive and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Incontinence changing and toileting assistance.
Tube feeding (G-tube experience preferred).
Bathing and dressing.
Engaging in activities with the individual.
Schedule:
Part-time, 4 hours per week (weekend shifts).
Flexible scheduling available.
Qualifications:
Self-starter with confidence and compassion.
Experience with tube feeding (preferred).
Familiarity with autism care (preferred).
Experience:
Prior experience in caregiving, particularly for individuals with autism or special needs, is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
Patience, empathy, and reliability.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow specific care instructions.
Salary Range:
Up to $17.12 per hour.
