About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals in the community. You will work across both the Mangere and Panmure clinics, with rostered shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday, and the occasional Saturday shift. There is flexibility, and part-time hours may also be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing in-home visits to patients.
- Attending local community events to encourage engagement and liaise with local marae and iwi to ensure support for Whānau.
- Enhancing clinical knowledge with the guidance of GPs, Nurse Leads, and Directors of Nursing.
- Supporting Nurse Prescribers during prescribing practicums.
- Conducting thorough health assessments for patients.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- NZ Experience:
- Previous experience in the healthcare sector in New Zealand, especially in primary and/or community care.
- Registered Nurse Practitioner: Must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Cultural Competency: Experience working alongside whānau from multicultural backgrounds.
- Excellent Communication: Ability to easily build rapport with people from all walks of life.
- Full Driver’s Licence is required.
