About the Role
The Beaches Medical Centre is looking for a compassionate and professional Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will be responsible for managing all reception duties and ensuring excellent service delivery within our practice. Your role will involve handling patient inquiries, processing appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks to support our clinical and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and assist with any inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Process appointment requests, both over the phone and in person.
- Handle repeat prescription requests and check patient information.
- Maintain patient records by updating data and processing changes in accordance with practice protocols.
- Ensure building security and be knowledgeable about fire drills and panic alarm procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing notes and processing electronic documents.
- Provide general support to clinical staff, including chaperoning and preparing clinical rooms.
- Stock supplies and make coffee for doctors and colleagues when required.
- Attend all required training sessions.
About You:
You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with patients, clinical staff, and administrators in a busy environment. A friendly and compassionate nature is essential to delivering the best service to patients. You should also have strong attention to detail and be comfortable with data entry and managing medical records.
