Job Description/Overview:
Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, is seeking a Warehouse Storeperson to ensure stock is received, documented, and stored accurately. The role involves overseeing stocktake, inventory levels, order picking, and maintaining warehouse equipment and cleanliness. The storeperson will also assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles and supporting the Warehouse Team Leader in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform stocktake and monitor inventory levels
Load and unload delivery vehicles
Accurately check deliveries
Pick orders and ensure proper labeling
Operate forklift in the warehouse environment
Assist Warehouse Team Leader with daily responsibilities
Identify and document material and parts requirements
Ensure compliance with WH&S practices and promote teamwork
Qualifications:
Certificate III in Logistics or Warehousing (desirable)
Forklift license (essential)
Experience:
Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks
High reach forklift experience preferred
Previous experience in an industrial environment (desirable)
Skills:
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work unsupervised and as a team player
