Digital Content Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a Digital Content Assistant to support our global Internal Communications & Engagement Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and accessibility of content across our digital internal platforms, including a newly configured SharePoint-based intranet, One Planet, and Workplace by Meta (Facebook).

Duration: 6-month fixed-term contract starting January 2025.
Location: UK-based; the role is remote, but you may also choose to work in or from our Woking, Surrey office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily editorial and technical support to a global network of SharePoint editors.
  • Maintain high standards of content quality and accessibility on internal digital platforms.
  • Manage and curate content for One Planet (SharePoint intranet) and Workplace by Meta, ensuring smooth platform transitions.
  • Edit and publish digital content while ensuring compliance with inclusivity, safeguarding, and organisational standards.
  • Support the transition and sunsetting of older platforms with a focus on content integrity.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of digital content best practices.
  • Experience managing and editing content on a CMS, preferably SharePoint as an intranet.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to content accuracy.
  • Proven ability to edit and publish engaging copy for websites or social media platforms.
  • Technical proficiency with tools including Microsoft O365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • Awareness of inclusivity and safeguarding standards in digital content creation.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience supporting global teams in digital communications.
  • Knowledge of internal communications platforms and their functionalities.
