Job Description/Overview:
Cornwallis Care Services Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join their team. The role involves supporting patients in care homes and home care settings by assisting with daily living activities. You will help enhance the quality of life for patients, ensuring their care is tailored to their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
Support and monitor the implementation of care plans.
Maintain accurate patient care records and communicate with the healthcare team.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
Assist with mobility and transportation, including driving patients to appointments.
Ensure cleanliness and safety in patient areas.
Engage in continuous professional development through training sessions.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in creating and following care plans.
Strong IT skills for record maintenance.
Excellent command of English for communication.
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable.
Ability to drive is advantageous.
Experience:
Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Skills:
Compassionate nature with a strong desire to improve patient quality of life.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
Salary:
£11.44 – £26.04 per hour
