Job Description/Overview:
Community Horizons is assisting a family in the Plover/Biron/Wisconsin Rapids area to find a caregiver for their middle-aged daughter with developmental disabilities who is nonverbal. The role involves helping her stay active in the community while providing weekend respite to her parents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with community integration, including trips to community centers, libraries, stores, and parks for exercise and social interactions.
Provide personal care as needed.
Prepare minor meals.
Coordinate appropriate activities for the individual.
Qualifications:
Calm, caring, patient, positive, and motivated attitude.
Experience working with nonverbal individuals and those with developmental disabilities.
Familiarity with supporting individuals experiencing anxiety.
Experience:
Developmentally disabled/healthcare background preferred.
Skills:
Compassionate and understanding demeanor.
Ability to adapt and “go with the flow.”

Additional Information:
Pay: $16.32/hour.
Schedule: Sundays from 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (2-4 Sundays per month).
Occasional weekday pick-up shifts may be available.
