Position Overview
Open Farm is seeking a Social Media Manager who will develop and implement creative social media strategies to drive brand awareness and support growth. This role requires a storyteller with strong content development skills, cultural awareness, and a passion for social media. As a key player in the marketing team, you will work closely with various departments, including the Impact, Innovation, and Sales teams, to amplify Open Farm’s mission and grow our brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Social Media Channels: Manage organic social media channels, including strategy optimization, content creation, publishing, and reporting.
- Content Strategy & Calendar: Oversee social media content calendars, aligning with business goals and objectives.
- Influencer & UGC Content: Leverage influencer partnerships and user-generated content (UGC) to enrich the marketing calendar.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with teams across the business (Impact, Innovation, Sales) to drive Open Farm’s mission and increase brand visibility.
- Creative Campaign Development: Develop creative campaign concepts, ensuring alignment with brand voice and executing social content strategies.
- Utilize Data & Insights: Apply data insights and trending moments to inform social creative, copy, and campaign direction.
- Community Engagement: Partner with the Community Manager to ensure optimal response times and flag high-risk messages or content.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Stay ahead of cultural moments, leveraging social media trends and timely responses.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4-6 years in social media management for an established CPG brand; at least 2 years of team management experience.
- Expert Knowledge: Proficient in TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit.
- Platform Expertise: Experience with third-party social media tools like Dash Hudson.
- Content Creation: Strong skills in video creation, editing, and executing viral content.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent proofreading and writing skills with the ability to adapt to brand tone and voice.
- Social Media Management: Experience managing social accounts with 200k+ followers is a plus.
- Curiosity & Drive: A proactive, curious attitude with a passion for deep understanding.
- Passion for Pets: A love for pets is a bonus!
