About the Role:
We are looking for a talented Digital Specialist to join our Content & Channels team. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity focused on delivering content for Discover Auckland, a platform dedicated to enhancing the experience of both Aucklanders and visitors. In this role, you will help craft engaging digital content that aligns with business objectives, increases brand awareness, and optimises the visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute content strategies to enhance Discover Auckland’s digital presence.
- Create engaging digital content for various platforms (website, eDMs, social media).
- Ensure content aligns with user needs and business goals, driving high engagement.
- Manage and optimise content across channels, including SEO, website content, and social media campaigns.
- Measure and analyse the effectiveness of content marketing efforts to achieve commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with business units and external suppliers to meet customer and business needs.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in creating digital content that drives engagement.
- Experience in developing and executing content strategies aligned with business goals.
- Strong knowledge of SEO and understanding customer needs to optimise content.
- Proficiency in managing content across multiple digital channels (website, eDMs, social media).
- Passion for analysing content performance and achieving measurable results.
- Strong motivation to meet objectives and contribute to Auckland’s growth and development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A preferred tertiary qualification in digital marketing, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a digital marketing or content-focused role, such as digital marketer, content manager, web writer, or content editor.
