Job Description/Overview
Join the team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust as a Maternity Support Worker. This role involves providing individualised, family-centered care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting birthing parents and their families by offering physical, social, and psychological assistance. The position is available through a recruitment open day, offering the opportunity to meet staff and learn more about the working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist midwives in providing care during pregnancy, birth, and postnatal periods.
Provide physical, social, and psychological support to birthing parents and families.
Offer administrative support and maintain a safe, clean environment.
Implement basic care packages and perform delegated clinical procedures under the supervision of midwives and other healthcare practitioners.
Qualifications
Compassionate, motivated, and confident individual with a desire to make a difference.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrate a high level of communication.
Experience
Experience in a healthcare environment is beneficial but not essential.
Skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Information
Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 per annum, pro-rata.
