Job Description/Overview
The Engineering Associate – Plumber is responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems, inspecting installations, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The role also involves reading blueprints, managing fixtures, and assisting with general maintenance tasks across the property.
Key Responsibilities
Fix minor plumbing issues such as unclogging drains.
Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings.
Detect leaks by filling pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air.
Review and interpret blueprints, building codes, and specifications.
Plan installations based on building plans and structural inspections.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.
Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
Adhere to safety and security policies and report any hazards or accidents.
Maintain a professional appearance and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
Assist with the physical movement of objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree (Preferred).
Certification: Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License and Plumber Certification.
Experience
1-4 years of related work experience.
Skills
Proficiency in plumbing systems, electrical works, and fire-fighting systems.
Knowledge of piping, drainage, HVAC, carpentry, and maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
