About Ecom Experts: Ecom Experts is a team of Shopify development specialists dedicated to providing high-quality services for enterprise-level Shopify Plus stores. Based remotely with a 9am-5pm EST schedule, we have been supporting the e-commerce industry since our founding in Montreal in 2012. With a team of 30 and growing, we handle all aspects of Shopify setup and code to ensure that online stores can handle millions of orders seamlessly.
Position Overview: We’re seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our Sales & Success team. In this role, you’ll help maintain the integrity of our data by accurately entering, verifying, and updating information across various platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a fast-paced e-commerce company.
Responsibilities:
- Enter, verify, and update data in various systems and databases.
- Regularly audit data for accuracy and integrity.
- Review and resolve discrepancies or errors.
- Organize and manage files and documentation for easy accessibility.
- Perform data clean-up tasks, such as removing duplicate entries and correcting inconsistencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Ensure timely completion of data entry tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with other departments to clarify and gather missing information.
- Follow company protocols and data entry guidelines to ensure accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient typing speed (40-60 words per minute or higher).
- Strong knowledge of data entry software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or specialized databases.
- Ability to manage and organize large volumes of information.
- Strong communication skills for addressing data inconsistencies with team members.
- Understanding of data confidentiality and security practices.
- Experience in data entry, office administration, or clerical roles (preferred but not required).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
