Position Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Community Manager to join our Marketing team. Based in Toronto, this role will oversee social media and community initiatives for Fitch Ratings and other Fitch Group businesses. You will work closely with global marketing teams, corporate communications, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute innovative social strategies, build our social media presence, and foster community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow Fitch Ratings and Fitch Group social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and grow followers.
  • Collaborate with global marketing teams and external partners for social media campaigns.
  • Design and implement organic social campaigns using best practices, with paid experience preferred.
  • Build and manage an editorial content calendar and align it with employee advocacy initiatives.
  • Lead the Fitch Ratings Social Media Ambassador program, providing guidance and support to ambassadors.
  • Monitor, moderate, and interact with posts to foster community engagement.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics, provide insights, and refine strategies to improve effectiveness.
  • Ensure content complies with industry standards and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to create innovative, brand-consistent social media content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media platforms in a B2B environment, preferably within financial services.
  • Proficiency with social media tools for publishing, monitoring, and reporting (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Brandwatch).
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage social and community strategies across multiple channels.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with employee advocacy programs and ambassador strategies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of paid and organic social strategies is preferred.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills.
