Job Description/Overview:
Caregivers at Waltonwood provide essential support to residents by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including waking, toileting, feeding, and participating in social activities. The role includes supporting residents’ well-being, safety, and quality of life. Caregivers are part of the Resident Care Team and report to the Wellness Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with ADLs: waking, toileting, feeding, and bathing.
Respond to resident emergency calls promptly.
Support residents during mealtime and activities.
Maintain resident safety and well-being through adherence to procedures.
Perform light housekeeping as needed.
Participate in shift change meetings and report changes in resident behavior or health.
Complete required documentation, including care summaries and shower logs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (required).
CNA certification (required for North Carolina).
Experience as a caregiver and/or working with elderly or memory-impaired adults (preferred).
Experience:
Prior caregiving experience, especially with elderly or memory-impaired individuals, is preferred.
Skills:
Patience, customer focus, and compassion for seniors.
Strong integrity, trustworthiness, and a passion for senior care.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, with up to 80 pounds of pressure during transfers.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.

Salary: $30,000 – $38,000 per year.
