Job Description/Overview:
CalOptima Health seeks a TEMP – Data Analyst Intermediate (Provider Data) to provide technical expertise for data reporting and analysis within the Provider Data Management Services department. The Data Analyst will handle data quality audits, provider data reconciliation, and report development to support both operational requirements and California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support provider data reconciliation, ensuring data integrity and compliance
Collaborate with internal departments for data accuracy and compliance in provider directories, network certification, and other areas
Develop organized reports, identify trends, and conduct data analyses
Maintain knowledge of DHCS and CMS data reporting requirements, producing accurate reports
Identify process improvements for data management
Build dashboards and trending analysis reports
Complete additional projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (required)
3 years’ experience as a data analyst in healthcare or managed care
2 years’ experience in SQL query writing with SQL Server Management Studio
Experience:
Data analytics and SQL Server experience (3 years required)
Tableau or Power BI experience (2 years preferred)
Skills:
Strong SQL and data management skills
Experience with Tableau/Power BI for data visualization

Additional Information:
Salary Range: $33.35 – $36.31 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
