Outlier partners with some of the world’s most innovative companies to enhance their AI models through human feedback. We are seeking experienced English writers with expertise in New Zealand English to contribute their skills to training generative AI models.
About the Role:
This flexible freelance opportunity allows you to work remotely, choosing hours that suit your schedule. Your contributions will help improve AI-generated content by providing nuanced human feedback, enhancing factuality, relevance, and style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rank AI-generated responses based on quality and relevance.
- Write and rewrite prompts and responses, including conducting research and fact-checking.
- Evaluate the factuality, clarity, and coherence of AI-produced text.
What We’re Looking For:
- Professional experience as a writer or editor.
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a writing-related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of New Zealand English, writing style, grammar, and spelling.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to clearly articulate strengths and weaknesses in text.
Examples of Expertise:
- Logical reasoning and critical thinking in analyzing AI-generated responses.
- Ability to adapt content for different audiences and purposes.
Compensation:
- Pay rates range from $25 to $59 NZD per hour, depending on expertise, assessment results, and project needs.
- Higher rates may apply to PhD holders or specialized tasks.
- Incentive payments may be available for certain projects.
- Rates for non-core tasks, such as onboarding or overtime, may differ.
Additional Information:
- This is a 1099 contract role on the Outlier.ai platform.
- Freelancers must be authorized to work in their country of residence.
