Job Description/Overview:
This position reports to the Nurse Manager of Cardiovascular Services, covering the Cardiovascular Support Unit (CSU) and Vascular Access Lab (VAL). Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, supporting unit operations, assisting with patient transport, and offering additional support to nurses and medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Key Responsibilities:
45% Patient Care
25% Daily Operations and Tasks
25% Patient Transport
5% Participation in Unit Continuous Quality Improvement Projects
Qualifications:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR certification
High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency in Microsoft and computing environments
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience:
2 years in the healthcare field
Skills:
Knowledge of patient care practices related to cardiovascular support
Ability to maintain composure and efficiency during peak workloads
Skilled in handling challenging patients and maintaining confidentiality
Physical capacity to wear radiation safety apparel and stand for extended periods

Salary Range: $25.08 – $31.20 per hour
