Job Description/Overview:
The Technical Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the company’s internal technical infrastructure. This role involves managing and upgrading enterprise server and storage hardware, providing internal support for office hardware, and ensuring the overall security and efficiency of the technical systems.
Salary:
£45,000
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and upgrade enterprise server and storage hardware.
Provide internal support for PCs, laptops, and mobile devices (Windows OS, iOS, MacOS, Android).
Conduct vulnerability management using scanning tools such as Nessus.
Remediate and automate software rollouts using tools like Ninite/PDQ.
Configure and monitor antivirus software and Mobile Device Management.
Manage firewall and switch configurations, including patching and upgrades.
Administer Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Office 365.
Achieve recognized Cyber Security accreditation.
Manage video conferencing and enterprise-level phone systems.
Monitor resource availability and scalability, including CPU and disk usage.
Continuously improve IT systems to meet business needs.
Configure and test new hardware and software technologies.
Resolve problems with computer and server systems.
International travel to audit data centers and verify hardware suitability.
Qualifications:
Achieved or predicted 2:1 or above in a degree of any discipline or have 1 year of experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role.
Experience:
1 year in a relevant IT support role or a related degree.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge and passion for exploring new software and hardware technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
