Position Overview
As the Social Media Manager, you will play a key role in managing and growing the Stratford Festival’s online presence. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Content & Editorial, you will oversee social media strategy, community engagement, and content creation to drive ticket sales, subscriptions, and memberships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for all social media platforms.
- Create and publish engaging daily content tailored to each platform.
- Monitor and grow the Stratford Festival’s social media community, providing 24/7 engagement, including weekends and holidays.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on paid campaigns and assist the revenue team with strategic initiatives.
- Partner with departments (EDI, Education, Archives, Advancement, and others) to craft targeted social media strategies.
- Analyze and report social media performance metrics to stakeholders, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Respond to and engage with followers, maintaining a consistent and approachable brand voice.
- Track social media trends and implement innovative strategies to enhance audience engagement.
- Work with the Graphics team on content assets and support multimedia production efforts.
- Coordinate influencer and online publication collaborations, including booking visits and hosting events.
- Manage the annual social media budget.
- Capture photos and videos to support content strategies, utilizing tools like iPhone, Canva, and Capcut.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Humanities, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in social media or digital marketing roles.
- Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to create compelling marketing content.
- Knowledge of digital and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
- Experience with tools like Hootsuite, Airtable, Facebook Ads Manager, and Google Ads (preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a creative mindset.
- Knowledge of the Stratford Festival and a passion for theatre and the arts.
- Capabilities in Canva, Capcut, and other design/editing tools are assets.
