Job Description/Overview:
Marias Homecare Companions Ltd, a small, professional, and supportive care business in Rottingdean, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Worker for weekend support. This role offers a flexible schedule of 5-25 hours, where you can choose the hours you work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to serving the community by assisting clients with special needs, mental health issues, and basic personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with special physical, mental, and social needs.
Provide support to clients with behavioral or mental health issues.
Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and family members.
Work collaboratively within a healthcare team, including physicians and other professionals.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical and mental conditions.
Support clients with hygiene, light housekeeping, and other daily activities.
Provide confidential support to clients and their families.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in care work preferred.
Experience:
Experience working with individuals with special and complex needs is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate approach to caregiving and client support.

Pay range: £14.00 – £32.00 per hour.
Additional benefits: company pension, double pay for bank holidays around Christmas, and time and a half on bank holidays.
