Position Overview:
We are seeking a Social Media Writer to contribute to our Hispanic family-friendly media website. This position offers the opportunity to write articles focusing on Hispanic social media trends, covering platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Writers can choose their specific beat and get paid based on article performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write engaging and informative articles on family-friendly topics relevant to the Hispanic community.
- Choose a social media beat (YouTube Latino, Instagram Latino, TikTok Latino, Facebook Latino) and produce news content based on trends and stories within that area.
- Research and stay updated on the latest news and trends in your chosen beat.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure all content aligns with Latin Times’ mission and values.
- Monitor the performance of your articles and adjust your approach based on feedback and engagement metrics.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years completed in a college program for Journalism or a related field.
- Proven experience in writing engaging content for online audiences.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their trends, especially within the Latino community.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
Compensation:
Earn up to $300 per article based on performance.
