Job Description/Overview
We are seeking a flexible and caring individual to join our dedicated nursing team at the Altrincham Renal Dialysis Unit. This role involves ensuring that the patient environment is fully prepared for hemodialysis treatment, maintaining cleanliness of medical equipment, managing stock and equipment, and supporting nursing staff in providing high-quality care for patients with kidney failure.
You will assist in audits, maintain feedback systems, and contribute to the efficient running of the service. This is a part-time position, requiring 25 hours per week on early/late shifts or long days.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure patient environment is ready for hemodialysis treatment.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of medical equipment.
Manage stock and equipment.
Report estates issues and manage patient transport/portering requests.
Contribute to quality improvement by conducting audits and maintaining patient feedback systems.
Qualifications
GCSE level education or equivalent.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
Willingness to undertake professional development.
Experience
Experience working in an acute healthcare setting or hospitality.
Basic computer skills.
Stock control and ordering experience.
Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
